About Wine Architect

Natasha MooneyWine Architect was established by Natasha Mooney in 2006 as a winemaking consultancy to several winemakers in the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley regions. Wine Architect has grown steadily since then consulting to wineries in various regions of Australia as well as Portugal, Chile and South Africa.

Wine Architect now has a range of clients that require various services ranging from vineyard and winemaking consulting to assisting with bulk wine requirements whether it be sourcing or selling. Wine Architect has a focus on connecting buyers and sellers in the bulk wine market in a confidential and professional manner.

Some words from Philip White about Natasha:

After Roseworthy, Tash worked through some rather serious wine stables: Penfolds, Lindemans, and Barossa Valley Estates. Wisely selecting fruit from the ancient vines of the two mighty Elmores, Roehr and Shulz, she virtually invented E&E Shiraz. Her first bash at this beauty got her best red, then best wine, at the International Wine Challenge and only the second Australian to make the Wine Spectator top ten. – Philip White 30 Jan 2010

Charlotte Hardy has recently joined Wine Architect.

Charlotte HardyCharlotte holds a Bachelor of Wine Science from Charles Sturt University, Australia. Cutting her winemaking teeth in many NZ cellars including famed wineries such as Sacred Hill and Craggy Range, Charlotte then honed her skills at Chateau Giscours in Bordeaux learning the art of elegant wine making.

From there Charlotte embarked on California to take up a position for viticulturist to the stars David Abreu, in his brand new cave winery in Napa, California. Here a true understanding of the vineyard, the importance of fruit selection and treatment, and warm climate winemaking skills were practiced and sharpened.

After a move to South Australia to undertake winemaking for a premium winery in the Adelaide Hills, Charlotte saw a need for a wine analysis laboratory to be based in the Hills and launched Wine Lab at the end of 2008. After 3 years running the successful laboratory, Charlottes’ desire to get back to making wine has seen her employed by Wine Architect.
